WHEN IS ROUGH CUTS?
Rough Cuts meets the first Wednesday of the month(with some exceptions, join our mailing list to be notified) from 7-9pm. We've got some plans in the works for more special events as well.
WHERE IS ROUGH CUTS HELD?
We meet in the lower level lounge at WeWork in Northern Liberties neighborhood of Philadelphia.
WHAT'S THE FORMAT?
Each presenter gets a total of 15 minutes to show their film and get critique from the group. When it's your turn, you stand up, tell everyone what you're showing, what you did and what kind of feedback you're looking for before showing us your undoubtedly awesome work.
We highly recommend showing a maximum length of 10 minutes to allow time for critique and discussion. We can all sit at home and watch films alone - it's the community dialog that we really show up for.
WHAT KINDS OF FILMS CAN WE SHOW?
Anything! Short form work plays best, as showing 10 minutes of a feature film is hard to give critique on. Common types of work shown are commercial ads, music videos, short narrative films and documentaries.
WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE SHOW THEIR FILMS?
SEASONED VETERANS. STUDENTS. PRODUCTION COMPANY OWNERS. EDITORS. WRITERS. PRODUCERS. ACTORS. DIRECTORS. HOBBYISTS. DPs.
ALL ARE WELCOME.
